Bloons TD 6 is a classic tower defense game that stands out from
the rest with its unique game mechanics and rich gameplay
experience. Developed by Ninja Kiwi, this game has won the
hearts of gamers around the world with its cute graphics and
strategic gameplay.
The core gameplay of the game is to
stop hostile Bloons balloons from reaching the finish line.
Players need to build a defense system consisting of various
turrets (called “monkeys” in the game). By destroying Bloons,
players can earn money to buy more turrets or upgrade existing
ones. Each turret plays a different role in the game, which is
played from a fixed top-down perspective, like the other games
in the Bloons TD series, but Bloons TD 6 uses 3D graphics, which
is unique in the series.
Bloons TD 6 introduces a number of
new gameplay mechanics, including heroes, new Bloons types, a
fifth level of upgrades, and a third upgrade path for each
monkey.DDTs (which first appeared in Bloons Monkey City) also
return in Bloons TD 6. The game also introduces three new Bloons
types: the BAD (Big Airship of Doom, the strongest standard
Bloons type in the game), which is immune to any form of
slowing, knockback, or instant-death attacks; the Purple Bloons,
which serve as the new counterparts to the Black and White
Bloons, which are immune to fire, plasma, and energy weapons;
and the Fortified Bloons attribute was introduced alongside the
returning Camo and Regrow attributes; Bloons with this attribute
are stronger variants of their regular counterparts (the
Fortified attribute doubles the health of all Bloons except
Leads, which quadruple their health). A new gameplay mechanic,
“Line of Sight”, has been introduced on some maps, where certain
types of obstacles can block the line of sight of certain
turrets.
Each game is divided into rounds. Each turn
usually contains a predefined set of Bloons of different
densities and Bloon types, although Apopalypse Mode's turns are
randomized for each game. All rounds gradually introduce more
Bloons types and become progressively more difficult as the
player progresses. Before starting the game, the player is
required to select a mode - Easy, Medium, or Hard - and choose a
sub-mode.The multiple modes in Bloons TD 6 allow the player to
play the same map in a number of different ways, making the game
more than its predecessor in the Bloons TD series. After
completing the first challenge of a map, the player is awarded a
certain amount of Monkey Money depending on the difficulty and
mode selected, and the amount of Monkey Money awarded for
completing a challenge decreases significantly after completing
the first challenge of a map.
MOAB-class Bloons such as
MOABs, BFBs, ZOMGs, and DDTs return in BTD6, as well as new BAD
Bloons. These Bloons only appear in rounds 40 and beyond, and all
of them have a large amount of health.MOABs require 200 hits to
be broken, BFBs require 700 hits, ZOMGs require 4000 strikes,
DDTs need 400 strikes, and BADs need 20,000 strikes, all of
which add more health each round after round 80. After beating
100 rounds, the player will receive an “Insta-Monkey”, which has
the chance to already have upgrades that can be placed in any
mode for free, except C.H.I.M.P.S. and No Power Challenge.
Just
like in BTD5, players can earn Monkey Money to unlock more
things including powers, new heroes, certain cosmetic items, and
unlock deeper levels of Monkey Knowledge along with Monkey
Knowledge Points. There is also a new rare currency in the game
called Trophies. Trophies can be used in the Trophy Store to
unlock exclusive cosmetics that cannot be unlocked through
Monkey Money.
Players can also choose to participate in a
variety of different activities, play daily challenges
(including Premium and Co-op challenges), and participate in
creating and completing custom challenges (including custom
Odysseys and custom maps) through the Challenge Browser. In
addition, Patch hosts special missions that introduce various
concepts from the game.
Bloons TD 6 offers players a
diverse gaming experience with its richly designed modes,
including Episodic, Competitive, and Co-op modes, each of which
offers its own unique gameplay and fun.
